Trying not to post Doctor Who things = Failure. This is just so amazingly accurate.

I love today’s origami Google doodle! Honoring Akira Yoshizara, who would have been 101 today. Learn more about him and other origami artists in the excellent film Between the Folds.

Futurama is probably the best thing to watch while trying to draw St. Peters Basilica, right?

The college life. Certain activities unfortunately become routine. One of the worst is definitely The Late-Night Wal-Mart Run. I am usually against Wal-Mart, but somehow I often find myself needing something ridiculous at 1AM. I have so much trouble boycotting…I mean, Wal-Mart sells EVERYTHING and it is open 24/7. But let me make something very clear: Shopping that early in the morning is not a good idea. It’s like grocery shopping when you are hungry. You go in wanting to get your glitter glue and get out, but you leave with camouflage duct tape, blue nail polish, chocolate pudding, and the latest issue of American Cowboy magazine. The other night, I went in to buy a gift (a very last-minute gift), and ended up looking at ornaments in the christmas section. They sell clip-on ornaments now. How cool is that?! Anyway…when one is sleep-deprived and inspired by Lady Gaga, they look like very elaborate hair accessories. I now own a glittery poinsettia that is larger than my face. Looking forward to shocking the family at Christmas.
